美籍华人，1984年受聘于中央乐团交响乐队；1986年获得全国室内乐比赛二等奖；1988年就读于美国奥柏林音乐学院，同年获得美国阿斯本音乐节中提琴比赛一等奖，美国全国青年弦乐比赛一等奖；1989年获得美国奥柏林音乐学院硕士学位后，被聘为美国夏威夷檀香山交响乐团中提琴首席；1998年任香港管弦乐团中提琴演奏员；2008年任深圳交响乐团中提琴首席；2009年任杭州爱乐乐团中提琴首席。

　　A Chinese American, Zhao was employed by Symphony Orchestra of Central Philharmonic Society in 1984; won the Second Prize of National Chamber Music Contest in 1986; studied in American Oberlin College Conservatory of Music since 1988, and won the First Prize for viola contest in Aspen Music Festival (USA) in the same year and the First Prize of American National Young People String Music; in 1989, was employed as chief violist by Hawaii Honolulu Symphony in America after he gained a master's degree from American Oberlin College Conservatory of Music; in 1988, acted as a viola performer at Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra; acted as a chief violist at Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra in 2008; and now the chief violist at Hangzhou Philharmonic Orchestra since 2009.
